i heard abt this news a few days ago.. kept wanting to blog abt it but i forgot.. and when i was watching a TV show yesterday, it reported abt it again.. and so here i am.. telling u abt this very special story..~

it all started when e crew when to west papua to film on the tribes there in may this yr.. the tribes are called Korowai and they are believed to be the last cannibal tribe in the world now.. they r ppl who lives deep in e jungle.. who still lives like the stone age 10,000 years ago.. and they r ppl who still believe in witch crafts and eat human flesh.. (scary!)

and the main story is that thru e excursion into this tribe, the reporters actually found out that there is this 6 yrs old boy who's name is wa-wa, is gonna be killed as bloth his parents died mysteriously one day.. and coz of that, he was believed to have some link witch crafts and killed his parents.. these ppl here dunno abt virus.. so if anthing like this happens, they wud link it to witch craft and hold one person responsible.. and usually e guy wud be killed and EATEN! OMG..

the crew actually wanna save e boy and bring him out of the village but they realise that it wud do him more harm than gd. coz if he is brought out of stone age suddenly and put in a city, he may not be able to adapt the sudden change in environment and culture and he may die coz of it.. and they realise that e best way is still to leave him in e village and his is still safe for e time being.. he was saved by his other family mambers and is staying in another village (2 hrs from e one that wants to kill him) and he is given to live till 15-16 yrs old b4 they come for him.. so there is no use bringing him out of e village now as we may do more harm to him by doing so.. and i agree to this although i v much wanna safe this poor child.. full story in here.. summary here..

however, there is this reporter who went to this village and wanna reacue this child secretly.. and she was busted.. more info in here.. n i m glad she was.. i dunno what wud happen to e boy now if he was rescued.. and i seriously doubt if her intentio was to really save e boy or to get a big news report out of it.. haiz..
